loved ones

we were pretty blessed to get to go with my family on one last trip before everything changes.
with lauren leaving on her mission, taylor moving away for college,
matt + i having a baby (and looking at jobs opportunities around the world)
it's hard to know when we'll all be in one place again.
it was so nice to slow down and enjoy life a little more.
 i love mexican culture.
for me it's as magical as a kid in disneyland.
 dillon had a blast exporing
and the beach was an absolute paradise
even with the wonderful yoga man
but one of the best parts of the whole trip was being able to cross paths with estrella + her other half.
i'm so proud of her and where she's come in the last few years.
we've both grown so much since those mission years in santa fe.
it makes me wonder where the next few will take us.

now back to home and reality,
the job hunt is on.
but i'll be happy wherever it is, so long as we're side by side.

living my dream job

i love getting to hang out with this kid for wedding season every day.
working together and capturing memories hardly makes this feel like work.
we are blessed.

you already hold such a huge piece of my heart

"Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body." -Elizabeth Stone

we cannot wait for this day.

climbing mountains

this past week was probably one of the biggest climbs in life for matt + i.  sometimes i've felt less like we're climbing a mountain, + more like we were climbing a sheer cliff.
he is my hero.
he was so swamped with finals, his internship, + work.  and some of his career dreams changed with a phone call.  add a pregnant wife to the mix, he takes the cake.
my heart wanted to just set all the papers aside, and hold him.  to somehow erase all the stresses.
but i knew what i'd be stealing: the view from the top.
i knew he needed + wanted to put forth his best effort to his work, to know he gave it his all.
i also knew he studies best without me hovering, so my dad and lauren kidnapped me on their overnight moab trip during the worst of his finals.
haha.  lauren always reminds me to laugh more.  to make a memory, + enjoy the moment.
it was nice to get some fresh air, + perspective.
i was reminded to open my eyes.
to broaden my view.
 to appreciate the little things.
and to enjoy the ride, with every twist and turn of the road.
i know there have been many twists and turns in our road lately.
but i'm genuinely excited to see where they take us.
i'm so proud of your hard work,
your loving nature,
the smile that never gets wiped from your face,
+ your unfailing faith.
you made it.
the journey + your potential, are only beginning.
we love you + stand by you.
maybe sometimes closer than you want us to. ;)
we made it to this peak.
i couldn't be more proud of you, matt.
i'll always be at your side.
i'm excited for the unknown road ahead.
